“My task is not to debate whether I’m a Jew or not, but to figure out what kind of Jew I am. For me, finding a secular Jewish community with progressive politics fits my version of that identity.”

Join other Shule families for a fun and meaningful Mitzvah Day at a senior housing community in Brighton, about a 5-minute drive from Shule.
Organized by Hebrew Senior Life, the "Mitzvah Day" program is an opportunity to meet and visit briefly with local Jewish seniors and to bring them some Passover-related goodies. Families who participated in the past have found it a very rewarding experience. Volunteer families meet at the end of Shule and will proceed to local senior housing sites. The “treats” are provided by Hebrew Senior Life, and the whole process takes between 1-2 hours. To sign up and for more information, please contact Megan Wolf.
