We're outraged. We're angry. We're deeply saddened. And we are ready to resist. Over the past 11 days since the inauguration, BWC members of all generations have come out to fight hate with love, from DC to Boston. From the Women's March, to the Logan Airport Protest, to the Boston Protest against the Muslim Ban and Anti-Immigration Orders, BWC members have been out in full force.
We strongly condemn the actions Trump has taken over his first 11 days in office. We have decided that rather than put out statements each time he makes a new policy, we will find ways to take collective action as a community.
In this moment, our community is our greatest strength. We will look to each other to find love, solidarity and collective power in these times. Every two weeks when we send out our e-news we will offer action steps you can take individually and collectively. We will share an action or event that our members are showing up for so you can show up in resistance and in community. We are starting a rapid response listserv so that members can share with each other the actions they are taking and invite each other to join. Click here to join the rapid response list.
We need each other, now more than ever. We'll show up together, we'll resist together, we'll cry together, we'll scream together, we'll inspire each other, we'll take care of each other, we'll sing together and we'll welcome others to join us.
With love and solidarity,
