Preschool Playtime

Looking for a way your littlest children can participate? Have a child who’s not old enough for Sunday School, or who’s tagging along with an older sibling? Join Preshuler (Preschooler) Playtime!

Preshuler Playtime is a monthly playgroup in a Jewish context for parents with preschoolers. Each get-together starts with informal and fun children’s activities related to a Jewish or social justice holiday and includes lots of time for play, either outside at a nearby park or at a nearby home. We always have a snack available too.

Playtime takes place once a month from September to May. Families either gather at the Center for Jewish Culture and Social Justice or at a nearby home. Check the regular calendar for location information.  Preshuler Families also join the parties hosted by our Sunday School for Chanukah and Purim, and the year culminates in a Shule-wide picnic in the spring. The schedule for the year is:

  • September 25: Rosh Hashanah (lobby)
  • October 16: Sukkes
  • November 20: Chanukah (will take place in nearby home)
  • December 18: Shule Chanukah Party
  • January 8: Social Justice: MLK Day (will take place in nearby home)
  • February 5: Tu B'shvat (will take place in nearby home)
  • March 4: Shule Purim Party
  • April 1: Passover (lobby)
  • May 20: Shule picnic
