"Judaism has never been solely a religion to me. It’s a people, a culture, and a religion, kind of like a state of being. It helps me locate myself in the world."
LET'S HAVE COFFEE!
Perhaps you are just beginning to learn about Boston Workmen’s Circle or want to get more involved, but have no idea where to start. We invite you to sit down with a community leader or staff person to learn more and get answers to all of your questions. Email Organizer Simcha Halpert-Hanson at firstname.lastname@example.org to find a time to meet up.
ATTEND AN EVENT
Wondering what Boston Workmen’s Circle is all about and whether it’s the right fit for you? We invite you to attend one of our many educational, cultural, or social justice events to learn more. Holidays are an especially good way to learn about our secular approach to Jewish identity and observance. Please consult the calendar for a full listing of upcoming activities.
JOIN A COMMITTEE
Membership activism is the foundation of all we do at The Boston Workmen’s Circle Center for Jewish Culture and Social Justice. Our committees design and organize educational programs, create our rituals and artistic performances, and take action for social justice. Our committees also take care of the nuts-and-bolts work of building a sustainable organization. There’s no better way to make Boston Workmen’s Circle your community.
For starters, take a look at a list of member-led committees. Please don’t hesitate to contact committee chairs or the office for more information about how to plug in.
Our community relies on volunteers to make every event happen. Would you like to help set up for a holiday celebration? Shelve new books in our library? Host a shabes dinner? There are endless ways to make a contribution and feel more connected.
Not ready to join a committee? Volunteering to help out at an event or in the office might be just the thing. Please contact us at email@example.com for more information.
