Shule Labor Protest - Boycott Wendy's

Wendy's (71 Summer St, Boston)

Join the Hey (fifth grade) class in its annual labor protest! This year, the fifth grade students are joining the #BoycottWendys Campaign, calling on Wendy’s to join the Fair Food Program, a unique partnership among farmers, farmworkers, and retail food companies that ensures humane wages and working conditions for the workers who pick fruits and vegetables on participating farms. The fifth grade class is standing in solidarity with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers in their fight for humane treatment.

The Boston Workmen's Circle Shule labor protest is inspired by the history of Jewish immigrants who toiled in textile sweatshops. Today, students are demanding that Wendy’s and other retail food companies join the Fair Food Program and treat farm workers with dignity and respect. Help put pressure on Wendy’s by marching with our 5th grade class on Sunday, December 11th!

Shule students are leaving from Shule in Brookline at 12:30 PM. All members of the community and labor supporters are encouraged to join us. The action is meaningful for the whole family.

Join us at 12:30 PM to take the train from the BWC building (1762 Beacon St, Brookline) or meet us at 1 PM at Wendy’s, (71 Summer St, Boston).
