Bequests

We all want to leave a lasting legacy – one that will make a real difference long after we are gone.

Why leave a bequest?

A bequest is the easiest way to have a lasting impact on the community and organization that means the most to you. Not only will a bequest to the Boston Workmen’s Circle Center for Jewish Culture and Social Justice help secure the future and growth of our organization, but it may also lessen the burden of taxes on your family and your estate once you are gone.

A bequest is truly the easiest gift you can give. With the help of a financial advisor or family member, you can include language in your will or trust specifying that a gift be made to Boston Workmen’s Circle as part of your larger estate plan.

There are a variety of options you can consider for your bequest:

  • Gift of a percentage of your total estate
  • Gift of a specific asset within your estate, such as an IRA account or an insurance policy
  • Gift of the residue of your estate
We continue to seek and depend on annual donations from our members and friends. But in the long run, our sustainability depends on special gifts from long-time supporters who want to help strengthen and stabilize Boston Workmen’s Circle as we move into the future. By naming the Boston Workmen’s Circle Center for Social Justice and Jewish Culture in your will or trust you help ensure that, in its second century, our treasured 110-year old organization will thrive.

If you choose to remember us in your plans and make us part of your legacy, we welcome you to let us know so we may thank you as a community. If you prefer, we will keep your bequest intention confidential.
